A month after losing Maxwell, Betty “Boo” Boorman is feeling lonely, isolated, and desperate to get away from reminders of her demon ex-boyfriend. When rival ghost hunter Carter Lansford approaches Betty with a wild story about zombies, Betty jumps at the chance to investigate. An abandoned island resort off the coast of Georgia is infested with the walking dead, and a preservation team has asked Betty and Carter for help. The only thing worse than spending two weeks on an uninhabited island with Carter is having the whole thing filmed for a new reality show. As Betty tries to put on a brave face for the camera, she faces stubborn ghosts, rotting corpses, and one very handsome historian.

I love this series and because the author provided me with review copies I was ablee to read one right after another. Which I’m very thankful for since I’m impatient.

Ms. Dolgner once again provides us with a wonderful book. It had me on the edge of my seat and I didn’t see who the true “villian” was until the very end when all the action happened.

I like that we get another view of Carter. I didn’t like him in the beginning of the series but I am starting to warm up to him.

This book will keep you turning the pages!

Blurb:

When a strange boy tumbles down a river enbankment and lands at her feet, seventeen-year-old adrenaline junkie Deznee Cross snatches the opportunity to piss off her father by bringing the mysterious hottie with ice blue eyes home.

Except there’s something off with Kale. He wears her shoes in the shower, is overly fascinated with things like DVDs and Vases, and acts like she’ll turn to dust if he touches her. It’s not until Dez’s father shows up, wielding a gun and knowing more about Kale than he should, that Dez realizes there’s more to this boy-and her father’s “law firm”-than she realized.

Kale has been a prisoner of Denazen Corporation-an organization devoted to collecting “special” kids known as Sizes and using them as weapons-his entire life. And, oh yeah, his touch? It kills. The two team up with a group of rogue Sixes hell bent on taking down Denazen before they’re caught and her father discovers the biggest secret of all. A secret Dez has spent her life keeping safe.

A secret Kale will kill to protect.

My Thoughts:

Ms. Accardo does an incredible job putting a well written interesting novel together. I was instantly drawn into her novel and I couldn’t get enough.

I really connected with the characters and loved the way they developed through out the story. Dez was wonderful. I loved how she isn’t the typical girl next door. She loves to skateboard and get into trouble. She believes her goal in life is to see how much she can piss her father off. Which is just like most teenagers. Kale is a hot and sweet boy but with a deadly twist. The secondary characters were very interesting as well and I hope we will get to learn more about them as the series goes on!

Touch is a fast paced novel with thrilling and unexpected twists. It will keep you interested and you will continually be turning the pages to know what happens next.

Welcome to high school high society hell. As if senior year at Weatherford Preparatory School wasn’t hard enough, sixteen year old Alexis Bardolph had to add school outcast to the curriculum.
A new found notoriety following a family scandal, her lacrosse star boyfriend dumping her for a former BFF and a string of perpetually bad hair days were among the many things going wrong in her already turbulent teenage life.
But when the haunting nightmares that have plagued her since childhood begin to take an eerily tangible form and several Holler Creek residents are reported missing, Alexis can’t help but wonder if there isn’t more to her hellish dreams than meets the eye.
The unexpected arrival of a mysterious and dangerously handsome new students ultimately leads Alexis to troubling truths that no even her wildest imagination could have conjured.
My Thoughts:
When Ms. Thompson contacted me to review Silver and Stone I wasn’t sure what to think. It sounded interesting! Ms. Thompson and Silver and Stone exceeded all expectations I had.
The characters were definitely believable and I enjoyed getting to know each of them. Alexis is easy to relate to and is a strong girl even though she doesn’t think she is. Alexis’s friends Amber and Logan are so funny and I love them. You can’t forget the handsome and mysterious Lucas.
My favorite part of this novel was the setting. I loved the description of the old castle and it really added and created the mood for the story.
I loved the mystery and the paranormal element. I was not really sure what to expect in regards to the paranormal aspect so the story kept me guessing the whole time. I am looking forward to Blood and Champagne so that I can learn more about Alexis and Lucas!!
